Can I start with a box of old photos and papers?
Short answer
Yes. You can start a tree from one family photo, and turn letters and certificates into stories by photographing them.
Yes. On your first tree, choose Start from a family photo, pick one picture, and add the people in it as you go.
Letters, certificates and clippings can follow one at a time: photograph a page and FamYarn reads it for you to check, then saves it as a story, and you choose which of the people it mentions to link. There is no need to sort the whole box first.
